This update is about making sure your words always land — no matter how slow your connection is feeling.
Your speech always gets delivered
If you finished talking before Scout had fully connected — common on slower networks — your dictation could silently vanish. Now, releasing the key means "deliver it": Scout keeps working in the background and types out everything you said, even if the connection took a few extra seconds.
Snappier start
The ready cue now plays the instant your mic is live, so you know exactly when to start talking — no more guessing.
Bug Fixes
- Long dictations on macOS no longer show a false "text injection failed" error while the text is still arriving.
- Saying something like "testing, 1, 2" no longer gets turned into a numbered list.
- Fixed an occasional unwanted leading space when dictating into the Ghostty terminal.
- Smart corrections are faster and more consistent — eliminated occasional multi-second delays when our AI provider had a slow moment.
