Smart Dictation is faster and more reliable in this release, with stronger safeguards for the words you meant to say and a cleaner sound when recording begins.

Corrections that keep up

Scout now uses our newest Smart Dictation correction engine. Corrections arrive sooner while staying deliberately conservative: if a proposed change is not clearly supported by your speech and context, Scout keeps the original wording.

• Spoken numbers, version numbers, and sound-alikes are handled more reliably when the surrounding sentence supports the change.
• Punctuation stays attached correctly when a word is corrected, so fixing one word does not disturb the rest of your sentence.

Safer on tricky phrases

• Overlapping sound-alike groups are now considered together instead of missing a valid alternative.
• Context-sensitive phrases such as “a part,” “every day,” and “any one” are protected from over-eager rewrites.

Bug Fixes

• Replaced the muffled recording click with a crisp, immediate start cue and a matching stop cue.
