Scout v1.0.58
Scout keeps slow-waking microphones warm automatically and stitches together sentences broken at your thinking pauses.
This one's all about the start of your dictations — making sure Scout hears you from the very first word.
Your mic, always ready
Some microphones take a beat to wake up when recording starts, which could swallow your first word or two. Scout now notices when your mic is slow to wake and automatically keeps it warm in the background, so dictation starts instantly. Audio never leaves your computer — the warm-up stream is discarded on the spot.
Smoother sentences when you pause to think
Pausing mid-sentence sometimes made the transcriber decide you were done — leaving choppy fragments like "they're going to pass. On their mistakes too." Scout now recognizes these false breaks and stitches the sentence back together.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed the keep-microphone-warm feature silently stopping when Windows restarted its audio system behind the scenes — it now detects this and recovers on its own.
