Scout v1.0.31
Mac dictation no longer clips your first words, better spacing between back-to-back dictations, and smarter homophone handling.
A handful of dictation fixes — cleaner audio capture on Mac, better spacing between back-to-back dictations, and quieter improvements to how Scout handles tricky homophones.
No More Clipped First Words on Mac
If you pressed and held Fn and started speaking immediately, Scout could miss the first half-second of speech while the microphone warmed up. Audio capture now pre-warms the instant Fn is pressed — you can start talking right away.
Better Spacing Between Dictations
Back-to-back dictations on Mac were sometimes running together without a space between them. Dictating a few sentences in a row now works the way you’d expect.
Smarter Homophone Handling
Scout is now less likely to "correct" a word that was already right. Tricky pairs like loose/lose, revue/review, and accept/except are handled more carefully, and “there are / is / was / were” is handled faster.
Bug Fixes
- Logout no longer risks losing your recent dictation history.
- Scout now reliably starts at login on Windows after updates.
