Scout v1.0.32
Faster corrections, fewer over-corrections, and a batch of reliability fixes so Scout stays out of your way.
Dictation is noticeably snappier, Scout is less likely to change words that were already right, and a batch of small fixes make the app more reliable when things go sideways.
Faster Dictation
The correction step — where Scout fixes tricky homophones and numbers — is meaningfully faster. Those occasional long pauses where Scout would think for 4+ seconds are essentially gone.
- First correction after an idle period no longer feels slower than subsequent ones.
- Mac clipboard injection trimmed by a few milliseconds per dictation.
Smarter Homophone Handling
Roughly half as many “why did Scout change that?” moments. When you say a word that could sound like something else but was already right, Scout now leaves it alone more often.
Reliability Fixes
- Scout bar no longer gets stuck showing “Writing…” when the injection pipeline hiccups — a 20-second watchdog recovers on its own.
- The floating pill no longer collapses before Scout finishes typing into short fields.
- If Fn or a modifier key gets “stuck” from a weird OS event, Scout resets cleanly on the next trigger.
Mac Polish
The Fn standalone window has been retuned for a snappier start-cue feel.
Bug Fixes
- Windows build no longer fails on certain configurations.
