Scout v1.0.55
Your first word always makes it in — Scout now waits for your mic to truly wake up.
Scout 1.0.55 fixes a subtle but maddening bug: losing the first word of a dictation on microphones that are slow to wake up.
No more clipped first words
Some microphones — especially onboard audio on Windows — report that they are recording a beat before they actually start delivering sound. If you began talking right at the chime, your first word could get swallowed, and a sentence like "Does this console even work" came out as "This console even work?" — with a question mark you never asked for.
Scout now holds the start chime until your microphone is genuinely delivering audio, so what you say is what you get, from the very first word. On mics that are already awake, nothing changes — dictation starts just as fast as before.
