Scout v1.0.61
A shaky connection no longer costs you a dictation.
This one is about never losing what you said, even when your internet struggles.
Your words come back, even on a bad connection
- When the connection dropped mid-dictation, Scout used to try once to get your words back, then give up. It now keeps trying for about two minutes.
- If the connection fails as you start talking, Scout keeps recording anyway and recovers everything once you let go.
- Recovered text appears in Activity, ready to copy, and the Scout bar tells you when it's there.
A Recover button in Activity
- Any dictation that failed has a Recover button. Press it to try again from the saved recording.
- Failed dictations stay in Activity for 30 days instead of scrolling away.
Your recordings
- Scout keeps each dictation's recording on your computer for 30 days so anything can be recovered, then deletes it.
Bug Fixes
- Recovered text no longer lands on your clipboard, where a second recovery could replace the first.
